Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his first title for 882 days with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid year, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in particular - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and finally separating with former mentor Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden trophy after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface from that period of the previous year.
Victory also indicates he has won twenty-one victories at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my children at once, so to get a trophy is particularly special," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, including in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive approach and recurring reactions on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his capacity to perform at the highest level was finished.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an better serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, winning 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his first professional victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
The opponent defended 4 early break points in a tight final set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he secured the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
